Sweets from Kumamoto prefecture "Sudden dumpling"

I love this name of the sweets, it says "Sudden dumpling"!!

This sweets is from Kumamoto prefecture and very famous in there.

These days in around Tokyo, we got to know about this sweet but we still don’t know about many dishes form countryside. I got to know about it pretty early time before the public through my friend from Kumamoto. I got very impress to delicious taste and the idea of it.

It is made from Sweet potato and sweet bean paste sandwich together and covered with sticky rice cake. If you bite all together, couldn't be better!

The name of "Sudden dumpling" came, when you have the guest suddenly come in to your home without notice or plan, you don’t have anything to prepare for them because of very sudden.

But people in Kumamoto they came up with great idea and made sweet from what already they had in their home.

This is how the great "Sudden dumpling" came into existence and named. You steam when you cook it, then eat still warm when eating which is very good and comfort.
