I found very rare vegetable today!! It's call "Matake”. We usually have "Take-noko" which is shorter and much thicker at spring season around April. But this "Take" comes on the market around the end of May the earliest. This is about amazing to live here because I haven't seen this kind of "Take" when I was live in Tokyo. I asked to farmer the way of cooking. They told that it's the same way as you cook "Take-noko" except "Matake" doesn't have scum. This time I decided to cooked with my specialty way. I like to mix up the different culture of ingredient to Japanese vegetable. Cut boiled "Take" then put on the pan and grill without oil to brown until golden. When gets browned turn down the heat, put Olive oil and sprinkle sea salt. Ready to eat! Olive oil brings freshness of the ingredients and smells of "Take" with a little bit of salt flavor. The taste is just amazing form fresh seasonable vegetable.

"ITADAKI-MASU"!!
